Google has already conquered the world of search advertising, as anyone using the website might already know. The next move in online advertising will, according to Neal Mohan, Google’s VP of display ads, be to attract more brand advertising for display ads. Why? We’ll start with the fact that it’s a $Billion+ industry.
Display ads are a field of online advertising where Google faces steeper competition, with Facebook and Yahoo already in the game, and a lot of independent ad tech companies looking for their share of the market. In an interview with Forbes, Mohan said that the ad technology is getting to the point where brand advertisers might get what they need from online marketing.
